About

StrudelMed is free prep for medical students, built by people who took these exams and scored at the top of them.

Why we made it

StrudelMed started as a student review series. The idea was simple: medicine sticks when it connects to something. A finding is easier to remember when you know what it rules out, and a drug is easier to remember when you know the bug it was made for. We learned best that way, by testing ourselves instead of rereading. So the daily case explains every finding, and the guides lean on questions and flashcards over rereading notes.

It's free because good prep shouldn't depend on what you can pay for. There's no paywall, and the daily case works without an account.

How the cases are written

Every case reads like a board question: a patient, the findings in the order you'd get them, and a diagnosis to name. In most cases the giveaway finding comes late, so the early clues test how you think, not what you've memorized. Cases are written against current US guidelines and reviewed for errors. If you still spot an error, tell us and we'll fix it.

Who we are

A small team. Mike founded StrudelMed and wrote the guides in the library. Xander has been part of it from the start. David builds the site, and Richard is our illustrator.
